Software / Windows bad
« on: December 02, 2005, 11:04:51 AM »
I'm not suggesting this like you should, coz personally I think that they still have a LONG way to go, but you could always try some versions of Linux...

Linux is a UNIX-based OS (actually there are many different versions) that run like Windows, but have many changes, and not all of them are good, compared to Windows. Personally, testing out the version I had gave me the irrits, but for someone who's had it up to their ears with Windows, what have you got to lose?

Just remember, it is a Windows ALTERNATIVE, NOT SUBSTITUTE. Do not delete Windows to run Linux, otherwise you will be pissed off when you find out how much it is missing.

Software / Yet Another XP Boot Change Problem!
« on: December 02, 2005, 10:41:29 AM »
Checked through all of the existing posts and found nothing on the subject ... http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

I am trying to change the images of the loader of Windows XP using ResHack using the guide at http://www.themexp.org and when I open the "Bitmap" tree find the numbers 1 - 8 and then 13 - 15. What the hell is with this?! (Running XP Home (gag) SP2)

Any help would be welcome. (First timer at posts.)
