Run coa2to change address of:

1. windows directory – change from d:\windows (or wherever you put it) to x:\windows

2. Program files directory – change from d:\Program Files (or whever you put it) to x:\program files

Be CAREFUL when you do this; you can’t merely substitute X: for C: because COA2 would substitute all the shortcuts on your main OS and they would cease to function. This is major trouble. If you have gotten to this point but cannot substitute without botching up other OS shortcuts, reinstall in different directories. It’s worth the trouble of not frying the other OS.

but my hard drive letters do not have X letter.
and COA2 needs to see a partition with the X letter.
what can i do?

Software / WIN 95 FILES
« on: July 22, 2003, 09:49:32 AM »
dear mates,
first of all i say HELLO
while i am conducting a cd project relating to multi-boot options,i discovered that i am in need of 3 FILES from MS WINDOWS 95 or 95a or 95b,
but NOT 95C[WIN95 OSR2.5].
THESE THREE FILES ARE :
                   EXPLORER.EXE
                   COMDLG32.DLL
                   SHELL32.DLL

UNFORTUNATELY, I DO NOT HAVE A VALID WIN 95 CD,BECAUSE THE CD I WAS HAVING WENT CORRUPTED AND I HAD NOT A BACKUP OF IT.
I DID NOT CARE BECAUSE I NOW RUN WIN 98 AN XP.
PLEASE CAN ANY ONE OF U HELP ME GETTING THESE THREE FILES,EITHRE BY SENDING THEM TO ME OR BY GIVING ME A LINK TO DOWNLOAD THEM.
THANX IN ADVANCE.

     ERROR READING FROM FILE H:\SBSI\PRO\SETUP\_USER1.CAB
     ERROR READING FROM FILE H:\SBSI\PRO\SETUP\_SYS1.HDR
     ERROR READING FROM FILE H:\SBSI\PRO\SETUP\........ETC.

AND SO ON AND SO FORTH.

I LOOKED AT THE CD BUT I DID NOT FIND ANY FOLDER NABED SBSI.
WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THIS BUG?

MY SECOND QUESTION KINDLY 4 U IS

WHEN BOOTING IN BOOTSCRIPT AN I GET THE RESCUE MENUE ,SOME ACTIONS ASK ME TO PRESS F1 ,  F2 AND SO ON,THIS IS EASY.

OTHERS I AM ASKED TO PRESS A-F1,   AF-2  , AND SO ON.
HOW CAN I TYPE A-F1 KNOWING THAT WHEN I JUST TOUCH THE 'A' LETTER KEY,THE SCREEN GOES TO ANOTHER ACTION>

BY USING WINIMAGE MAKE AN IMAGE OF THIS NEW EDITED STARTUP DISK AND NAME THE IMAGE [PQPMG.IMA].
PUT THIS IMAGE ALSO ON THE ROOT OF UR CD [BESIDE THE FOLDER WE MADE EARLIER WHICH WAS CALLED (PQPM ).

BURN THE CD AND MAKE ANY BOOT MANAGER[BOOTSCRIPTOR OR BOOTABLE CD WIZARD OR DISKEMU]POINTS TO [PQPMG.IMA].

I HAVE TRIED THIS METHOD AND IT IS WORKING FINE IN BOTH PQMAGIC 7 AND ALSO IN 8.
ENJOY.
LET ME KNOW HOW U MANAGED TO DO IT IF U DO.
