Tech Clinic / problems with bios flashing

i flashed my bios on my shuttle motherboard and now i cant get anything to come up when i boot my system. the board gets power but no beeps. no nothing. any ideas on how i can get my system up and running again. thanks.

Hardware / ATI Radeon 9200 trouble

http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':angry:\' /> i installed this new card in win 98. it worked perfectly. i then upgraded to xp pro and had to install the xp drivers. i put in the disk and clicked on xp and when my drivers finished, my screen went to standby mode. it just shut off like i powered my pc down. i have to restart in safe mode and uninstall the ati display adapters. i check in display properties and i have a default monitor on ( and thats all it says). it doesnt mention any display adapters even though i have great screen quality. i cant even mess with my monitor properties. i am running a nvidia gforce2 ti 64ddr card now and it works great. i am also running a tyan S2095 Trinity i845ddr motherboard, p4 2.0, 512 ddr it that helps. please help me to resolve this issue. i have all my windows updates and direct x 9.0. i have contacted ati and they suck. they dont know any more than i do. my monitor refresh rate was stuck on 60hz because it didnt show a plug and play monitor installed.

Tech Clinic / compatibility issues with XP and my processor????

i just bought a new MB and processor. everytime i try to install XP or ME, my computer keeps rebooting all the time. i get it installed but it doesnt work.  i was told that my PCchips m920LR socket 423 motherboard is not compatible with 2000, nt, me, Xp or later versions of windows if the processor uses a 478 bridge on the 423 board. is this true? if so what are my OS options? will 98 SE work? thanks for all the help. i have a gforce 2ti 64ddr and when i run media player, i use the ambience warp in full screen mode. when i switch it to full screen, it goes alot slower. i have 512ddr system ram also. what is the best refresh rate to use? mine has 60, 70, 72, 75,85, 100, and 120hz in the drop down. if i change these,do i need to change the screen res too?

i am running a k7ama motherboard, 1.3mhz anthlon, gforce2 ti 64ddr video card, 512ddr ram. i am wanting to better my system and was thinking of replacing my video card and motherboard. what is the best 64 or 128 video card to get under $100? and motherboard too. or, do i keep what i got?
i play diablo and other games and i heard i had a crappy vidoecard and i havent heard anything great about this k7ama motherboard w/ali chipset. thanks for all the ideas in advance.

in system info my processor says:
x86 family 6 model 4 stepping 4 authenic amd 1333mhz.
what does family6 model 4 and stepping 4 mean? is this equivalent to a p4 or p3? thank you.

when IE6 is open, i right click in the page and i have a porn site above properties and i can not remove it. i have search and can not delete no way. any ideas???

is there anyway to make your OWN recovery cd? just like the ones that come with gateways and what not. this would be great if you could get your system back to  the way you wanted it if needed.

i am running win xp. i have a 1333mhz amd k7. also, i have 512 of ddr ram. when i installed my nvidia 64meg ddr video card(xtasy) i ran media player. i usually play music and let the screen run in full screen mode on the warp setting. it runs for about 5 seconds and freezes. i have to manually shut my computer off. the music will still play, but the screen is froze. ctr/alt/del doesnt even work. i have to manually reboot.
