Tech Clinic / PC freeze, disconnect from the monitor

this is a fairly new pc, and iam pretty sure its not a spyware or slow problem.  

my monito freeze for 2 second and it goes into the mode that it normally does when it lost connection to the pc, the "no signal" message appears...and i also can't hear anything from my speaker.  i got the lastest driver and everything too.  happend like alot tonight for some reason, it used to be like once a few days but it happend like 4 times in the last 5 hours.

Hello

My monitor and speakers seems to disconnect from the pc when iam playing a pc game (GuildWars).  this seems to happend alot recently.  i was just playing a pc game and then suddenly it froze, my mouse can only go horizontally. then the monitor got disconnected 2 sec after it froze.  The pc is still on, but i can't see or hear anything and iam still connected to the internet.  my normal pc temp is 55C when not playing a game, and 61C when iam playing a pc game.  this problem started like last month but now it becomes more frequent.

i have window xp home edition sp2 and all the updates from MS.
ati 9800 pro 256mb for vidcard
2gig of ram
2HD
pentium4 3.0
