I've been fighting the good fight for quite some time & managed to get quite a few scammers banned from runescape.  In the name of virtual justice, I join the antiscammers.

You can't trim armor.  If anyone says they want to do that for you, it's a scam.  The only way to get trimmed armor is through something called the treasure trails (I'm still unsure of what the treasure trails are).
