Software / Home Network problem

Hi, Basically my issue is that I have 2 pc's connected through a Linksys router and both access the network.  One has XP Media Edition and the other has XP Home.  Each pc can see each other in network neighborhood and browse each others directories and files.  The problem is when you try to move, copy, or delete anything I get an error that the file is in use or I may not have the permissions to do so.  This happens on both sides.  Each pc has no password and just boots into windows when I boot up.  I know I must be missing something, can someone please help me? Thank you.

I hope I'm posting in the right spot.  Basically here is my problem, I have two pc's connected through a Lynksys router and both access the internet through that router.  Each pc can see each other and browse directories, files, etc.  However, when I try to move or copy anything from either pc, I get an error like file is in use or you may not have permissions or something to that effect.  It seem to be I'm missing something but I don't know what it could be? Either pc has no password and just boots up into the OS.  I use XP Media edition and XP Home.  Can someone please help my noob self, Thank you.
