Okay, I'm going to answer my own post which is something I often do.
With the help of Casolai, who has a copy of what seems to be a genuine volume license disc which can successfully be slipstreamed to SP2, we were able to determine which files are different from a standard to a VL (corp) installer. There are 11, and also the boot image is different, but this may not be a factor. They are:
Now the eula.txt file couldn't do anything and the oembios.* files are only used by OEMs like Dell to check the BIOS before installing. Oembios.bi_ alone is 12MiB of extra baggage! Last but not least, intl.inf doesn't do anything but set up the language files. So this leaves us with:
You'll notice these are basically the same files as were in the devilsown corp pack, so there must be differences that SP1 & 2 know about. I cannot provide these files or tell you where they are but I can provide a .sfv file that you can use to test files available on the net to see if they're the right ones.
Cheers,

Code: [Select]
Dpcdll.dl_
Eula.txt
Intl.inf
Nt5inf.ca_
Oembios.bi_
Oembios.ca_
Oembios.da_
Oembios.si_
Pidgen.dll
Rdpdd.dl_
Setupp.iniNow the eula.txt file couldn't do anything and the oembios.* files are only used by OEMs like Dell to check the BIOS before installing. Oembios.bi_ alone is 12MiB of extra baggage! Last but not least, intl.inf doesn't do anything but set up the language files. So this leaves us with:
Code: [Select]
Dpcdll.dl_ <--Purported to contain the time bomb in non VL editions
Nt5inf.ca_ <--some type of security catalog. possibly not needed
Pidgen.dll <--Product ID Generator
Rdpdd.dl_ <--Remote desktop protocol
Setupp.ini <--Bet you already guessed this one! You'll notice these are basically the same files as were in the devilsown corp pack, so there must be differences that SP1 & 2 know about.
