1.  delete all the temp files
2.  Open Internet Explorer.
3.  Click Tools [at the top]
4.  Click Internet Options.
5.  Make sure it is at the general tab.
6.  Click Settings [in the middle]
7.  Click \"Move Folder.\"
8.  Type in any drive and folder.  WinME's default is C:\Windows\Temp.

One question:  Why did you go back to [censored]dows (Windows) ME?  It's like 100, 000, 000 times worse than Windows 98, and plus, it's 999,000,000,000 times worse than Windows XP!

Did you run into some compatibility problem?

Software / Modify Win XP boot Sceen Problem
« on: June 08, 2003, 11:45:38 AM »
Hi, I don't know exactly what your problem is, but check these things:

1.  Make sure you replaced the correct images.  XP Home has 1, 7, 9, 11,  but Pro doesn't have the same ones.

2.  Did you download the file, and import into paint shop pro?

3.  Are your pics the right size?

Oh, and before I go, do yourself a big favor, and make a copy of the XP line in boot.ini, with it's original [old] text.  Just put it below the one you changed (the one that says \kernal=, etc)

Doing the above will make sure that you can still boot into XP, even if your boot screen messes up, or whatever.  I made the mistake of not making the backup, and my friend said I should change the partition number [DONT DO THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT UR DOING!]  to some other number, to get it to work on my other drive, and well, lets just say I had to reinstall xp after i restarted.......and on top of that, my friend was borrowing my disk...  so i had to go to crappy windows 98... arrghh i hate win98!

Once you have your boot screen working 100%, then you can remove the backup line.  But.....BE WARNED!

Software / XP BIOS
« on: June 08, 2003, 10:48:43 AM »
Hi, I just read your article about changing the BIOS screen, and I have the program, and all, but I have one question you didn't cover:

How do I make a backup copy of my BIOS screen?  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

I have a Dell Dimension L667r, so obviously I have a DELL logo.  I know how to change it, but I want to be able to go back to it, in case I find I like it better than my new logo.
