Software / wxp instalation errors

during w xp pro installtion i am getting messages that canot copy some files - display the name of the file
so i tried to install it on another pc using the same cd & same cd drive and it worked good.
then i want back to the 1st. pc and again got the error messages
i appreciate your help

Software / index.dat file in cockie folder

some of my urls (under favorit)do not load or load partialy - getting the message -page open error - at the left bottom corner of IE window.
i deleted temp, cache and cockie. with no help
under cockie folder there is index.dat file that the os doent let me to delete.
how can i del. this file?
if i del. it, can i cause a problem?

Software / MSN messanger & audio conversation

when i invite some one to audio conversation, the ather party gets the invitation and click   accept immidiatly after that i am getting a message that the conversation terminated.
it is the same when the other party invite me for audio converstaion
the mic. &  the spk. are working good on both sides

i would like to delete them as i have problem. one page doesnt loadup
it starts to load the page then stops and never finish.

Software / saving outlook expres data

my w 95 HD all mesed up and cant be used any more - crashing all the time & 100% full.  i would like to copy all data of the outlook express to another pc .
can i simply copy all uotbox.dbx, inbox.dbx & all other "boxes".dbx   from
c:\windows\application data\identities\"longno.string"\microsoft\outlook express
 to another pc to the same location?    and every thing will work ok?
or it need to be done in different / spesific way to work properly?

Software / ghost 2003 win 2k

i installed the ghost on my w 2k pc and using the "clone" option to clone my HD.
when i am using the clone HD, on boot up i am getting a message
that the paging file is to small + instruction how to change it.
(it doesnt let me boot all the way up nithere in safe mode)
what is wrong?
( the ghost is set to work with the "pc dos" & not with ms dos - if it is any thing to with it)

Software / win 2k after spk4

i am running win 2k pro. i wanted to install the MS patch for port 135(msblast) then i got the message that i need at least spk2
i could not find the spk2, the only one i found was the spk4.
i made EDR then did the update. after it done, it restarted the machine and now i have - it is starting and boot up to the point when i get the logo with the text " win..2k pro.........bulte under nt technology...." , the process bare (the line filled in blue) will go all the way to the end and then the pc will resert it self and starts like new power on. it is the same with safe mode.
how can i go back? what i have to do ? in order not to loss any thing, ?

and what will happend to the data (mail, add. boot , calander notes etc.)?
when doing un install do i loos all the these data?

Hardware / HP 6p printout 2nd

the contrast of the print out comes out not even - from left to right-
on the left hand side it is bright/light , in the middele it is dark / good and at the
right hand cside is bright/light again.
i cleaned the black soft roller under the tuner and it is a little bit better.
but still no good. i repalaced the tuner with old one and now every thing is bright/light . it is very diffecult to say if there is any differance.
i am going to order new tuner but for the mean time, is there any thing i can check in order to save time ?
also after i cleaned this roller (with alcohol) i have very thin white line from top to bottom about 2' from the left hand side

Software / spybot search & destroy

i am using the spybot search &destroy 1.2 on my win xp.
every time i boot my pc. when the search done i get a list of items then i do select all and do Fix and answer Yes to aprove the delition of these items. then i do the Immunize.
next time when boot my pc i get the same list
what i am doing wrong ?
