Software / WinXP Repair deactivates Office XP
« on: October 19, 2003, 12:23:42 AM »
I had to do a repair of my WinXP (legit) because I had to replace a motherboard and add a new harddrive.  Now my Office XP (legit) is asking me to reactivate the product.

As a teacher, I often times modify my hardware according to what I am teaching my students.  When I added an Intel P4 processor and motherboard, as well as a 20gb drive, I am asked to reactivate Office XP.  This little problem was a bit embarassing in front of my students. http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

I used MS Knowledgebase article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;EN-US;315341 to do a reinstall of WinXP.  Nothing is mentioned about dealing with a reactivation of Office XP.

Anyone know where I can go to get this resolved?

Thanks in advance!  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />
