problem was fixed, sorry for not posting sooner. power cord for the floppy was loose, after plugging it in the disk error went away and i am now able to access bios.

so i sold my computer to add funds to a computer im building, meanwhile my friend is lending me a junk computer he had "dimension 8100". currently it has unbutu installed but im trying to install windows xp. and im unable to get into bios to boot from dvd. when i try it says "diskette drive 0 seek failure" twice then nothing more.it however says that when it usually boots but then proceeds to boot, but when trying to get into bios it gets stuck there.

any idea?

im trying to try the demo windows 7 os. i dont have a dvd burner so im wondering if its possible to burn the os iso image to my external harddrive, then boot from it while the rest of the files on my external remain safe?

and i guess its hard to act like you were scammed by depressed lover to try to throw off accusations before they appeared. and the fact that you act as if you were scammed 14m so you never go first is a smart way to retry scamming huh?

my pc's always stayed at 60-62 temperature on speedfan, just switched from vista 32 bit to xp 64 bit, now its at 68-70. any reason why the switch causes my gpu to run hotter? and any fixes none hardware related?i have one fan on the side aswell helping to cool.

just talked to time warner again, had me go on internet explorer, privacy, advanced, and select always allow section cookies, now it works. dont know why i just stumbled on this problem recently had to do this or how me doing that on IE fixed my firefox aswell.
