Tech Clinic / Prismiq media player will not connect!

I recently purchased a prismiq media player.  I installed the software on my main PC and purchased a netgear wirelss g card.  I have a linksys wrt54g wireless router.  my problem is this:  I can connect to the internet through my wireless media player, but can not get the media player to connect to the media manager software on my pc.  Therefore, I can not listen to music through my stereo, look at pictures, etc.  I am running windows 2000 professional and I can ping the media player.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks a million for ANY help!
