Advice, try using the capslock key before typing, Your problem wasnt made clear so i cant give much help with that, although first you need a dvd writer and some compatible media (DVD+R, DVD-R etc..) i found that neros wasnt compatible with my HP dvd writer and so i downloaded "cheetah dvd burner" software and it works brilliantly, hope i helped

Try typing, http://www.msn.com and it should work fine

or alternatively type "msn" (without the quotes) and press ctrl + return

Tech Clinic / random windows xp problems

At first i thought it may have been caused by the ram becoming lose from its slots whilst the base unit was being transport ed via car, but after cleaning these out and doing a fresh install of xp pro after a couple of weeks the problems surfaced again, i tried unplugging my extra usb pci card which had caused problems in the past but this made no difference either.

As a last resort i thought it may be a problem with overheating as it is left on for sometimes weeks long (if it lasts) and CDs always came out rather warm from the drive but after replacing the old cd drive it has cooled down considerably and still has the sluggishness and the winamp problems as described in your post.

I seem to be having the same problems, and conannot confirm if it is primary or secondary harddisk related as i also have and aging primary and secondary,

The bit about winamp was what tipped me off but where you had error messages i had random reboots after 2 or 3 days of uptime, but an error message "windows has recovered from a serious error"
