Tech Clinic / Power supply shorting.

Hello,
I have put together 3 other systems before and never had anything happen like this.
I am upgrading my mother board and power supply.
I bought a Justpc jpc755a 425w case and power supply.
The mother board is a MSI PT880NEO.
The Chip is a Intel P4 2.4Ghz
The store where I bougt the board said the case and power supply and intel chip will work fine with together.
I put everything together according to the directions. Pluged everything together.
Plug the power cord into the wall and the power cord starts to smoke and pops the breaker.
I bought another case and power supply thinking the power supply had a short in it, but the same thing happened. They tested the mother board and chip at the store and said they are working fine.
Not sure what the problem can be. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Thanks Scott
