Software / Split'n'burn

Help

I need to find out how to split and burn an imagefile.
I'm using Powerquest Drive Image and a nero burning prog. and I have run in to the rathyer annoying problem that the max. compression of my C-drive is quite a bit larger than what fits on a normal cd.
I can't figure out how to get the image cut in half.

If anybody can help me with this I'd be willing to include that person in some sort of non-religious prayer-type-thing, though being an atheist I haven't figured out quite how to do that yet! http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'<_<\' />

Hardware / CdRom Drive not working&Not seen in "My Computer"

Hi Demi

You might try to change the battery on the mother board. Sometimes this little trick does wonders for old PC's. At other times it does bugger all, but it's relatively cheap.
If this doesn't help it may be time to follow the previous advice on this page, since it might be a faulty controller on the mother board.

Don't know if this was any help

Hardware / win98 Installation problem
« on: May 26, 2004, 11:18:09 AM »
Hi
First the good news: You didn't do anything bad, when you re-partitioned your hdd. Partitioning your hdd can't turn your Win98 into Win95.

Your problem is most likely found in your recovery cd. Either you have a wrong one or it has an upgrade to Win98 lying somewhere on the cd.

Howdy Rosh

Have you tried using Ad-Aware or something similar to scan the computer and let the Ad-Aware program do the work.

Hi Nancy

It is rather likely that you do in fact have a Sasser variant, if this is the case you should go to the following web page and follow the instructions in the recovery section about halfway down on the page.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...rts/sasser.mspx

According to Microsoft this should solve your problem.
