Software / my computer folder gone

thank you very much. I new it had to be something simple i was overlooking.

Software / my computer folder gone

http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'<_<\' />  the "my computer" icon has disapeared from my desktop and it seems so has the folder. I did a "search" for it. nothing there. nothing in the start menu and nothing in the windows folder.  does anyone have any ideas how to recover it  or find it?
