Tech Clinic / Linksys router issue

I have a Network Everywhere 4 port router from Linksys.  Have had for less htan a year and everything has worked great up til now.  Last week, lost internet connection & assumed it was cable company issue but they reported could contact my modem so not on their end.  After investigation, found that if I connect my pc direct to modem, could connect.  Also worked for other pc on home network but could not connect using router.  Friend had same router & let me borrow before I went out & bought another,  It worked fine until yesterday then same issue.  Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot or what steps to take to correct?
