Hardware / can't maintain internet connection

hello I'm using a dell e310 computer aliong with comcast highspeed internet, its been fine for about a year but recently my computer won't maintain an internet connection, after speaking with the people at comcast they have verified that my modem is fine and the problem has to be with the cpu....now i can be on the internet from anywyere from 10-30 minutes and after sometime i basicsally just loose my connection, althought I regain the connection after restarting the cpu...does anyone know what could be causing this..or is there any other info i need to give? also I sometimes use limewire and when i am using any filesharing program it makes the internet connection stop even faster...
