Software / Changing Licensing after installation
« on: September 22, 2004, 06:40:27 PM »
Hello,
This is kind of a follow up from a previous topic listed in the following thread.
http://www.thetechguide.com/howto/setuppini.html
What I want to know, is there a way to change XP licensing on a PC that has been installed with a volume license key to an OEM licensing key without having to reinstall the OS. I'm trying to make a PC's licensing legit, but i'm a little stuck in that I want to avoid reinstalling the OS at all costs. I found a way to delete the registration key in the registry and run the Licensing setup again, but I keep bringing up the Volume Licensing version and not the OEM version. Anyone out there with any ideas?
thx.
