Alt-OS / Differences between OS X and Windows

Ok so I need some help...
Some people I know (who know absolutely nothing about computers) are getting frustrated with their pc and want to buy a mac. I am trying to help fix their pc but I also want to show them what is better in a mac... can someone give me a list of what might be better in a mac for them? (Just for basic users because, as I said, they know no technical stuff)

Software / OPHCrack

Hey I need help. I was trying to retreive some passwords from a SAM file using OPHcrack but, when I try to, It says all LM hashes are empty, and that I need to use NTHASH tables. I know that these are large but does anyone know where to get (download) these tables for free?

I am trying to find a video editor that I can use to add effects like to blur a certain area of the video and stuff like that. Could someone plz help? (I would prefer a free program, if possible)

Hey, I have been able to play my Playstation games on my pc for a long time now, and I want to be able to do the same with my ps2 games, but all the emus I have heard about have lots of bugs. Anyone knows any without so many bugs?

General Discussion / Runescape Macro + Bruteforcer

Ok, just tell me what I do. I downloaded and tries this, but when I log in, there is no pop-up window with runescape in it and when I try any of the cracks it says that scvrun32.ocx cannot be found. I cannot even find this file on the internet. Tell me what do do thx.

Hardware / Problem With video card...

Ok this is a wierd problem, you will also find my post in the Alt-OS section. Ok, I have a Radeon X1300 Pro video card. Before I install the driver, moving objects cause a wierd wave to go across the screen. It's kind of hard to describe. Say I scroll on a page, wave-kind effects go across my screen, same when I drag windows or make anything move. To Fix it in windows, I just install the correct driver and Catalyst control center, which fixes it. But here is my question: anyone know how to fix this in linux? I've tried downloading the driver many times, but that will never work. Only one distro I have tried so far does not have the wierd wave.
