Software / Win XP Activation crack

Thanks! I always thought the patch is an alternative method.

After applying the patch, I no longer have to go through the "please reactivate" message. However, there is this star logo in my taskbar that says "this copy of windows is not genuine."

Thus, upon searching the net, I found that you can bypass this by:

End the process wgatray.exe in Windows TaskManager and restart Windows XP in safe mode. Now delete the following files:

Delete WgaTray.exe from c:\windowss\ystem32
Delete WgaTray.exe from c:\windows\system32\dllcache

Start Windows Registry editor and delete the folder "WGALOGON" located in the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinlogonNotify. Delete all references in your registry to WgaTray.exe

Restart and viola! It's gone~

One thing to note is that everytime u end the process in taskmanager, it will automatically starts again. So you have to be real fast in ending the process, then swiftly deleting the exe file.

Note sure if i can link this, but information (and other alternative methods) gotten from here: http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/04/workaro...on-genuine.html

Thanks!

Hey, I've tried the method that change the regedit stuff and upon reboot, it says:

"blah blah blah hardware..blahblah...click yes to reactivate windows" etc.

Then if I clicked "No> it boots to normal window and everything is fine.

If I clicked "yes"> It says "windows is already activated.

Then when i run "%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a" to double check, it says windows is already activated.

However, everytime I reboot, it will go through this "please reactivate" (and upon clicking yes, it'll tell me i've already activated) loop.

Anybody have any idea how to resolve this?
