it's ok to not have a disc.  it's easier if you do.  i was just wondering, the windows you have, did you install it yourself from before?  if so, i think you did not do a windows backup where you can boot it in safe mode.  if you want to start fresh, try going in safe mode and try returning to your "old state" fresh windows.

seriously bro.  you would want a 360.  in years, there will be just another, better, and faster ps3.  With 360 you can download games, mod it, and play with others on lan.  ps3 really has lots of games.. but they cost too much and their online games arn't that great..
