Hardware / Hitachi or Western Digital hdd

My mobo is Asrock K7NF2-raid(my old hdd seagate barracuda: rest in pieces) And i have two options in my mind:Hitachi T7K500 or Western Digital Caviar SE16 500gb.What i need is: reliability.Because my "old" drive Seagate goes literally pieces less than 10 months.

Software / win xp activation

Short version:how many times i can activate win xp home edit???
Long version:I was upgrading my nvidia graphcard driver.when i restart pc there was really annoying message:You have activate your windows in three days(something like that).So i was stupid and activate it... and i know why it happened:my hdd is history and i have buy new hdd.
