Make sure you've loaded all the other post SP2 patches.  You might want to do another defrag but only after deleting temp files and after a scandisk/chkdsk.  SP2 install probably left your disk heavily fragmented.

You also need to update all of your other device software.  i.e. printer/scanner.

Have you tried adaware antispyware?  Try that and Microsoft's antispyware.  After running those 2 send you hijack log again.

After you get rid of those pesty spywares, don't forget to do a disk cleanup and defrag.  Wouldn't be a bad idea doing these on a regular basis.

You can use the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.  That will copy your screen to the clipboard.  You can paste the clipboard to any program like Word or any graphics program.

Hardware / Can A Dumby slave a Harddrive?

Windows 98 uses FAT and your Windows XP Pro is probably setup using NTFS file system.  The windows 98 computer won't be able to read your Win XP hard drive.

You can get another Windows XP computer and plug in your hard drive.  Most computers has an extra port for a 2nd hard drive. You should be OK to connect a 2nd hard drive.  Just make sure that you set the 2nd hard drive as a slave drive.

Try Microsoft's AntiSpyware.  Make sure you restart your computer after running antispyware.  Then do a disk cleanup and defrag.

I'm not an expert in analyzing hijack log but Wintools IE for sure shouldn't be there.  You have a lot of other junk on your run registry as well.  I would just download Microsoft AntiSpyware and run it.  After running antispyware, post your hijack log again.

You might want to also do a disk cleanup and defrag.

It doesn't remove everything but it will remove most of the annoying spywares.    I have to sometimes remove entries in the registry (run) and remove files in the windows\system32 directory.

Have you tried downloading and running Microsoft's Anti Spyware program?  You might also want to run disk clean up and defrag your hard drive.

Not only does it take a long time, it also slows everything down.  I use a third party defrag program and it runs a lot faster and smoother.  You can even schedule it to run automatically and defrag the master table file and page file at startup.

Try downloading one of those free trialware defrag programs.
