i went to my local comp usa and bought windows xp professional edition. Should i do the upgrade or the full install? Keep in mind that i am upgrading from a windows 98se computer and the computer is kind of new (2-3 yrs old). thanks.

is it possible to get the boot cd from my sister's computer, included with windows xp, and install xp onto my computer? will there be any risks involved in this?

i recently got a windows 2000 cd, and when i was installing it, my computer said that it only serves for a dell pc. is it possible to bypass/override this so i can install windows 2000 successfully?

just in case, my computer is a intel Celeron 1.7 Ghz with 768 Mb DDR ram, currently using the Windows 98se operating system.
