Software / Welcome Screen Help

Just got a new pc with Windows XP, we have three user accounts that show up on the welcome screen.  

Does anyone know how to control the e-mail notification that shows up on the welcome screen.  No matter who has mail the notification shows up under the same account.  

It is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
