Tech Clinic / Compaq 615 - Strange Beeping Noises!

I have a Compaq 615 (Compaq 615 Laptop, AMD Dual Core Athlon X2 QL-66 2.2GHz, 320GB HDD, 2GB RAM, 15.6" HD LED, DVD±RW, ATI HD3200, Bluetooth, 2MP Webcam, WIFI, Windows 7 Home Premium) and obviously, I have a problem 2 weeks after the warranty has expired. It's making strange beeping noises. They're not coming out of the speaker and they're not like system sounds, they sound like hardware behind my keyboard, coming from or near the CD/DVD drive. I'm not sure what it is but I'm concerned as it shouldn't be doing this!
