Software / windows 2000 unattended install

i was successful in setting up unattended install of windows 2000 proff via cd as well as via floppy.
I also tried installing hotfixes automatically,which was successfull.
I m unable to install applications automatically with windows 2000.I created a cmdlines.txt file in the root of $oem$ folder .
In the txt file i gave the commands as
[commands]
rem for installing dot net
.\dotnetfx.exe
the exe file was saved in $oem$\$1\drivers
where am i going wrong,where do i place the exe files.
kindly help
