Hardware / Hitachi GD 2500 DVD Drive

http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':blink:\' /> Where can I find instructions for installing a Hitachi GD 2500 DVD player.  My Proteva win 98 came with a dvd player when we purchased  it a few yrs ago.  After being fixed for a virus , the Dvd player quit working.  Now I want to use it again.  The drive (D ) doesnt even show up.  Taking the cover off I have noticed that nothing is hooked up to the DVD small box or the other Drive (F) on top .  A few fat ribbons and a few wires. There is no instruction that came with the 98 about the DVD drive to show how to put them back on right.  Can anyone help?
