Hardware / Hard Disk Space

Dear Friends!

how are you?
i have a 40 GB Hard Disk of Seagate.few months before there were bad sectors in my Hard Disk and when i Fix them my Hard Disk Space reduces to 32 GB now it show in setup 32 GB....why?
and what is the solution of this problem because i have tried alot but if show 32GB in setup when i go to the Bios Setup.

friends, I am new here this is my first experience that i am writing in any form.

Dear Friends, I am Learning Hardware Course and I need some Hardware Books for helping Guides.

I have searched alot on Internet but i could not find....
any one can tell me how can i find and download Hardware Books.
