« on: September 21, 2005, 07:26:06 PM »
So, I was messin around w/ motherboard settings rebooting alot and turned up the agp voltage from 1.5 to 1.7 and rebooted and I think it was at this point I got a Bios checksum error insert disk or something like that, so I put settings back to default and everything is fine. Is there any damage I have to worry about? It's a brand new card.

Overclocking / cpu and mem oc question
« on: September 21, 2005, 06:05:10 PM »
Alright, so I have a p4c800-e deluxe asus mobo, and ddr400 ocz platinum el memory 1GBx2  sticks. I definately want my 2 1GB sticks to have 2GB and not populate all the slots. I run in dual-channel mode obviously. Ok, so when I overclock by about 20percent from a 3.0GHZ p4800fsb, to get 3.6 my memory cant stand that much of an overclock from pc3200 to whatever that would be. My memory I think likes to stay around pc-3500. My processor can go close to 3.75Ghz temp fine and everything but my memory has to underclock to pc-3100  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> . Up above that windows is unstable. I have like 9 fans in my case and all zalman heatsinks and a zalman 500w power supply. memory at 2.75. So the question is do you reccomend staying at pc-3000 at 3.6, 3.5ish, or keeping the memory at pc-3400ish at 3.2 or whatever. I dont want to bust anything either, and want the best stable performance. Or any other suggestions.....  THanks. -soul
