Tech Clinic / damn this pc...

right... i woke up yesterday and my pc was making funny noises and my monitor wudnt work... so i bought a new monitor and switched the pc on... it kept coming to the "windows loading" screen and would restart.. so i got told to reformat my pc (so i did and cudnt back anything up.. gutted) but now since i have reformatted my pc using the windows xp professional cd its just such a waste of space now...
i keep getting the elitebar, sometimes i get my pc shutting down because of Isass.exe (i think thats the right exe) and i keep getting a pop up whilst on msn saying i shud download from www.regfixup.com and if not failure to download will result in system failure...
i tried installing norton but it wont let me and it wont let me install microsoft anti spyware etc... any ideas ppl?
