I'm trying to make a boot screen (see tut: http://www.thetechguide.com/howto/xpbootlogo/
)
But when I go back to replace bitmap 1, it screws ResHacker.  I even tried to replace the bitmap with the original bitmap.  Same error.
Error is:
"Access violation at address 00402791 in module 'ResHacker.exe'. Write of address 0112B000."

PS: I have Home Edition
PSS: In my ntoskrnl.exe the numbers in the tut are not the same.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing in XP-Home too

There are more bitmaps in the ntoskrnl.exe than in the tutorial, theres 18 of them

Additionally, I've been having problems trying to get Photoshop to load the pallet, (Photoshop 8/CS)

I go Edit > Mode > RGB

Then

Edit > Mode > Index > Custom > 16.ACT > Okay

and the document still remains black

How so?
