Making Boot Disk Replacing Unuseable Drive Image 7
« on: February 06, 2004, 12:04:53 AM »
Help me.....I just bought Drive Image 7 CD to make image of my HDD before format my HDD for something else. After sometimes, I try to restore the image back to my HDD and was asked to restart the PC and boot from the drive Image CD. I did that only to find this message:

File txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected error (18) at line 1742 in d:\xpsp1\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

After browsing internet I found some guys out there also experiencing the same problems with one certain caused: The problem is with the original Drive Image CD itself..!! Please check this link to see what they say:

I try to make a changes as reccommended by one member from the forum which you can see from the above link, but produced by this message when trying to make the new bootimage with NERO 6:

cannot copy oemsetup; cannot read from the source file or disk

Maybe I did something wrong when trying to create CD(boot)..?? Anybody else can help me..???I really need to restore my PC to the original state.
