Hi all,
I am confused with the role of BDC and PDC. Previously, our Company had only one PDC Server (Win2K, XXX.XXX.XXX.113). Later, I create a BDC (Win2K, XXX.XXX.XXX.114) to as act as a backup.
Recently, I noticed that when I do a ping test to our domain name "hsing-private.com", it resolved as XXX.XXX.XXX.114. I am very very puzzled as I thought BDC is just a backup DC and will only kick in when my PDC failed. Why did the domain name mapped as XXX.XXX.XXX.114 and not XXX.XXX.XXX.113?
Could someone enlighten me? Is this normal?
