Need help with hardrive
« on: April 27, 2004, 09:52:18 AM »
Hi! I have a 40gig hardrive and I want to buy and install a second 120gig  hardrive.
My mobo is: Intel D850GB, and my current hardrive is a Seagate Barracuda ST340016A. I use Win XP.
Thing is, I don't know much about hardrive and mobo compatibility. This is why I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys would recommend a nice 120gig hardrive for my system within a $70-120 price range. I want something similar to what I already have. I need something relatively fast and dependable, but not too fancy. I'm just an average user who needs extra storage space.
If it's not to much trouble, plz tell me how can I make it so that I can use both of my hardrives the old one and the new one. I need a detaled description. If you know some good sites where I can get this info, that would be even better.

                                                                                       Thank you.

Let's see I think for the price range you are looking at you shouldn't have a problem finding one that will suit your needs. Try newegg.com. Look for a 120 gig HDD that's 7200RPM with an 8MB cache. You should be happy with what you get.
