I understood the instructions as far as makeing changes in the boot.ini file but  where does the new boot screen design have to be saved to or keep inorder for boot.ini to know what the new boot screen design will look like? In the syetem32 folder? Or leave it in the windows temp folder? Please help. http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

check this very site

http://www.thetechguide.com/howto/xpbootlogo/

or

http://www.themexp.org/make_own.php

be sure to check top tab HOW TO INSTALL

Careful downloading themes or anything here that has the RED asterisk.  Any file that has a .exe extension has ads in them when you go to install them.  But the site has good info on changing XP standards.
