I have setup file sharing between my host computer which is on a domain and a client computer, a laptop on a workgroup. The file sharing is working fine previously but couple days ago suddenly it stop working(internet is still ok)for no reason. The error msg on the mapped drive to the host said "\\host_computername is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. contact the admistrator.... Login failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer". I have been trying for 3 days using the Network setup wizard to establish connection but although i can see the host computer name under the My network Places i seems to have this permission error i can't resolve. Can someone help me with this or in general how do you setup file sharing between a domain computer and a workgroup computer. I can't figure out why previously i was able to setup file sharing with no problem and now i can't. Both computer have win xp pro. Thank you.
