hey all,
i'm running xp pro with sp2. i recently got to college and i don't want all the kids on the LAN to access my computer just by going into view network computers. how can i set it up where once the user clicks on my pc, a user name and password prompt is given? allowing only those who know this information to access the contents of my pc. i've been trying to find out how to do this but i can't find what i'm looking for. hopefully you guys or gals can help me out. i don't know if this is useful, but the LAN is run off of workgroups, i don't have to deal with a domain when accessing the network or internet.
