Neophyte here-Having problems(many,actually).I was trying to fix some things in 'safe' mode,then everything went blank-so,i took it in to be 'repaired'-installed IE 6,with WIN98.Now,i get a slow,choppy browser sometimes,typed words don't show up as they are typed-sometimes i can browse smoothly,and it may just start going slow-i have 78% system free,sometimes it will browse slowly upon startup.But it will not shut down properly-i have been to browsertune,everything checks out.I've checked the drivers as best as i know how,i've created a shortcut on my desktop to shutdown,i typed the correct command line in,but what do i do after that?When the dialog box comes up,i click shut down,but as soon as i do,it 'hangs'.Mouse freezes and i have to shut down manually.Any help for this erratic behavior would be greatly appreciated.Thanks for your time.
