I've had this problem with the video preview feature in XP explorer (the left pane under details, where it shows the first frame of a video file.) I haven't been able to determine exactly what causes this to happen, but when I highlight a certain single video file (only mpegs and wmvs from what I've noticed) explorer crashes. It has to be the video preview function, because when I highlight multiple files at once, included the ones that cause the crash, there's no video preview and no crash occurs.
It's happening far too often to be a problem with the video files (even the mpegs I record with my own camera) I've tried upgrading to the new WMP10, but it still happens. I can't seem to find any info about this issue. Any ideas? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
