I recently attempted making a slipstream copy of the SP2 Win2k Pro CD. After several attempts, the CD is now bootable and will go through the CD Installation portion of the install of windows 2000 pro. My problem is on reboot into the GUI, I get the following error:
Setup was unable to retrieve the Product Identification of the system you are installing. The Windows 2000 media may be damaged.
Fatal Error:
Setup was unable to retrieve the Product Id because of the following error:
RegQueryValueEx returned invalid data (Type=1), or Pid has invalid length (Length=8).
Fatal Error:
Setup was unable to retrieve the Product Identification of the system you are installing. The windows 2000 media may be damaged.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I only have CDR (no rewrite) and so I\'m going through cds without much success. My setupp.ini file reads:
[Pid]
ExtraData=646E77637A6F6D79626A1D94089595
Pid=51873270
After editing this file, I set the timestamp back to equal what was on the original windows 2000 cd.
The Volume Label for the CD is: W2PFPP_EN
I also tried to put the original nonslipstreamed cd in and it told me some security catalogs were invalid.
HELP! Any ideas at all?
Thanks
