Hi there. Found this forum by way of Google and other related websites. Great site and GREAT information. Here is my problem.
1. I am a N00B (lol).
2. I have win xp pro on my computer and Have been wanting to install windows 2000 because I am starting school at ITT Tech and they use Windows 2000 there. I know that I have to partion my 120g hd so that I can run both operating systems. I have Boot Magic, and Partition Magic, BUT, this is where my problem starts I think. When I try and partition my HD I can never really figure out what I am doing. I mean, I try and partition my hd for a drive C: and a Drive E:, but when I make both active, it says it does it but when it reboots, its back to the way it was. So I need some detailed help as to How to partition and it work.
3. The other problem is if I reboot with my Win 2000 cd in and it trys to boot from this disk I get the following error " Microsoft Windows 2000 This cd-rom is from an older version of Windows then the one you are presently using. Setup functionality from this disk will be disabled. "
Does anyone out there know what this means, and a way around it. Please help, and thank you in advance for all suggestions.
Insane!!
