Computer not working properly
« Reply #1 on: December 03, 2004, 01:21:57 AM »
Sorry Jim, I didn't see your post earlier

Do you still have Ad-Aware Se personal 1.05 installed?
If you do check for updates with it

Do you still have CWShredder, if you do Check for updates

===Create a New folder on your desktop, call it Aboutbuster
Download to desktop About:Buster
by RubbeR Ducky
Unzip it to that new folder
Open the unzipped About:buster and Check for updates---Download updates
We'll run a scan with this later but check for updates now!

Access your Add/Remove Programs and Remove if found
WebSearch Toolbar
WebSearch Tools
Search Assistant
Win-Tools Easy Installer

# Do not reboot until they have all been removed even if prompted.

# When you are uninstalling the last program you can then reboot when prompted

When your back in Windows

Try this
Update your version of Hijackthis, it's out of date
Open Hijackthis>>Config>>Misc Tools>>Check for updates online

After it's updated
Do another scan with Hijackthis 1.98.2 and put a check next to these entries that still exist
