burn data on to dvd-rw

im having trouble burning data on to a dvd-rw.i have a dvd-r/rw drive but it wont read the 4.7gigs of space im supposed to have on my disc.can someone please help thank u.

i have a slightly similar problem. i have downloaded some footage off the net, and would like to burn it to a blank dvd. the problems i am having are:

1. on the dvd, it says it can hold up to 4 hours in ep mode, how would you put it in ep mode?

2. i normally use i-tunes for burning cd's... what program would i use for burning dvds?

i appreciate any assistance.
