Navexcel Dialogue Box

I have recently removed NavExcel from my computer but when i restarted the computer a dialogue box pops up saying that Navexcel has been removed but some files will not be removed until i reboot.  i then reboot but the same message pops up every time.  I see no evidence of navexcel on my computer but this dialogue box still persists in popping up every time i boot up the computer.  Can anyone help?!

Important: Create a Permanent folder for Hijackthis
Double Click "MY Computer"
Open your C: drive
Click "File" >>> "New" >>>> "Folder"
A new folder will be created, name it HJT

Now you will have C:\HJT

Download Hijackthis from CLICK HERE or CLICK HERE
Save it to that new folder

Do a SCAN and Save a Log file---Save the log----copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log  here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important

Can you download a couple tools please

Download and save to Desktop the Standalone version of CWShredder.exe

Close All other windows, including this one
Double click to open CWShredder and then Click Only the FIX button
Let it fix whatever it finds

Restart your computer

Back in Windows
Download and Install the free version of Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.05
Ensure you have this version or the paid version
Open Ad-Aware, ensure to click the  check for updates now link and Connect to download the latest updates

Perform a Full system scan--"Uncheck Search for Negligible Risk Entries" before scanning
When it's finished scanning
At this point you should either right click on the screen and and choose the "Select All" Objects option or individually put a checkmark in each objects checkbox
click on the Next button. Ad-Aware SE will now present you with a confirmation box as to whether or not you would like to remove the objects you have just selected. Press the "OK" button

RESTART your computer  to finish the cleaning process

Post back a fresh hijackthis log afterwards

Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

Paste this file into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box. Copy and paste the whole bolded line

Check the radio button "Delete File On Reboot"
Also check "Unregister .dll before deleting"

Click the "Delete File" button which looks like a stop sign.
Allow to Delete but DON'T allow it to Restart the computer yet

Copy and paste this next line into the Full Path of File to Delete

Don't open a browser yet, instead access Internet Options via Control Panel
Under the Programs tab "Reset Web Settings"
Under the General tab---Delete files + offline content---Also Reset home page

Look for these files or folders and ensure that they're gone, if not delete them

C:\WINDOWS\remover.dll <--this file
C:\WINDOWS\smss.exe <--file, DON'T confuse it with the legitimate file in the System32 folder, just make sure the one in the Windows folder is gone

C:\Program Files\ZEROPO~1 <--this folder, that's not the exact name
May be named Zeropopup

Post back with a fresh hijackthis log afterwards

You should set up protection against future attacks

By the way, you have quite a few unneeded entries running on startup

Windows XP SP2 now includes an Integrated Popupblocker in IE

On a completely different subject.  I am playing Prince of Persia : Warrior Within and everytime there is fog, smoke or falling debris the game slows down (stuttering).  I think it is a graphics issue but am not sure. I have noticed it on more than one game.  I have contacted ATI and they have told me to install new display driver but it still persists.  Is there anything more i can do?

Not sure about your system specs.
That may be the problem with your games stuttering, not sure

You can enter the games video options and do some tweaks

Also when running the game
Enter your Task Manager beforehand and end process on all unneeded processes

Most of them can be Identified by the 04 run entries in your Hijackthis log

For permanently disabling some entries on startup

I would check within a program first to see if you can disable it
After you have ended it's process in the taskmanager
Items like
Qtask.exe
Quick times system tray---uses some resources and can be started manually
Enter Quicktimes preferences and disable and then use Starter to Disable on Startup

realsched.exe==Real Player's updater, uses resources and not needed on startup
Realplayer works fine without it
End process on it and then
* Click Start.
    * Open My Computer.
    * Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    * Select the View Tab.
    * Uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types
    * Click Yes to confirm.
    * Click OK.

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe
Right click on realsched.exe and rename it to
realsched.old
This will ensure it won't startup
Then use STARTER to disable

There's others you can disable on startup
Choose carefully what you really need on startup
Do some research

You saved it to your temp directory, when we clean out your temp folders all backups will be lost

Here are the Instructions
Can you Download Hijackthis 1.99
A small utility to help identify if any Hijackers, Malware, Spyware, etc.....Reside on your computer

Important: Create a Permanent folder for Hijackthis
Double Click "MY Computer"
Open your C: drive
Click "File" >>> "New" >>>> "Folder"
A new folder will be created, name it HJT

Now you will have C:\HJT

Download Hijackthis from CLICK HERE or CLICK HERE
Save it to that new folder

Do a SCAN and Save a Log file---Save the log----copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log  here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important
