current setup: asus a7n8x mobo, athlon 1800 (1.5 ghz) cpu, pc3200 ddr, maxtor 120 gig hdd, hauppage tvr350 video capture, ati aiw (older model ?) and windows xp. I don't do any gaming. I just want to capture video and pictures from my camcorder and make DVD's. I guess the computer can only be as fast as the slowest device so do I really need a super cpu if everything else is slower. Thanks for the advice.
