Antivirus & Firewall !?!?!

Hi ,

i would like to know what are thr recommanded :
1. Antivirus
2. Firewall

for the avarge surfer.. ?

about the antivirus - i need the best that find all kind of
troyan horses , email virus ect.

and about the firewall - i used 2 use ZONEALARM - but i heared that his performance is not the best...

can u please recommand me about those 2 software (or even 1 if u dont have info about the other)..

An antivirus should be active at all times (even if no net connection is available) and should be updated at least twice a week.

A firewall is not necessary for a 56k modem user, but is highly recommended if you have a static ip address, as used in cable modems.

Zone alarm is a good product and considering its price (free), you cant go wrong

About the Antivirus - you are right - i wanted people to name a good antivirus 2 use (give me your recommandation).

about the Firewall : Zonalarm is nice , but not enough -
4 example - he does not respond to massive arrival of packets from a shell (fast computer).

and yes , if u connected alot to the net , talk alot in IRC\'s -
u should ve firewall (even though u dont have static ip).

I use Norton Antivirus.

i am on adsl and i use multiple firwalls those being

zonealarm add atgaurd they both work nicely together also zonealarm works nice inconjunction with Symantec

as for antivirus software i prefer useing panda antivirus titanium edition
