We know a lot of people are skeptical about sites like this and we understand.
This site is the brain child of 3 men that were all scammed by a site named EZLaptop.com. We decided to make a website like ezlaptop.com that actually worked!
Ok so this is the story.
On March 13th I reached the required ammount of credits to withdraw and get my laptop. I emailed EZLaptop.com and asked how long shipping would take and I recieved no responce. I emailed everyday for a week and no responce. So I started looking for testimonials online and I came accross FinaleForum.com. I found an ezlaptop testimonial thread and I would say to my suprise but by this time it didn't shock me to find out that more than a few people had the same experience I did. That is when I knew Ezlaptop.com was a scam.
And then on April 4th at 5:00am I was on the forum and, maybe due to sleep deprivation, I said "Hey I've got an idea!" I thought it would be good to make a site like Ezlaptop.com.... but not a scam. I wasn't ready for anyone would think that it was a good idea. In Less that a day it was a full blown planning session. We started our own thread for the topic and then Mihai made a Yahoo group so we could sort out the serious people from the not so serious people. I began work on the html portions of the site while Mihai looked for a host.
Mihai found Midifox hosting and introduced me to Jordan (the Owner). After we worked out some details Jordan agreed not only to host the site but to code it as well. Then Mihai and I met Aaron in a chat we had about the site and Aaron had some great ideas that we hadn't even thought of so we asked him to become a founder of the site like Mihai and I. After a problem with his partner leaving after already having been paid Jordan had to step back from the coding and just host the site. So I went looking for another coder. This was already a month after we had wanted the site to go public.
Then while I was looking for a coder, Josh(owner of iBux) told me to look on Scriptlance.com. I am now SO GLAD that i took his advice. I found Nirmal (the owner of Victory Visions). Nirmal was the original coder for EZlaptops.com and offered to code our site for $250. I jumped at the chance, since he already knew exactly how the codes were supposed to work. It wasn't easy working around a time difference of 12 1/2 hours but we did it.
Through most of this time we had the forums up and running. We had a lot of people saying that it was just a scam, that it would never work, that the site would never open. Well we proved them wrong.
I am writing this story at 1 pm PDT (GMT -8:00) on Thursday June 23rd 2005. The site is almost ready and will be opening at 5:30 pm PDT (GMT -8:00).
