Hello Forum -
I really need some help here -
My machine: Dell Latitude Notebook D600, Windows XP Professional - SP2, Intel Pentium M, 1.6 GHz, 1.5 MB RAM
So, I have been having trouble with the USB ports on my laptop. Essentially this is what my Device Manager looks like (you will have to click the link below since the forum doesn't allow dynamic linking).
http://img26.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=lo...05_Problems.jpgNow, some USB accesories still work, like my external HD, but others are not even reconized, like my iPod.
Here is what I have tried:
1. I ran Dell Diagonistics several times - all the hardware checked out.
2. I re-downloaded the Intel Chipset drivers from the Intel site and re-installed.
3. I have all the current Windoze updates and drivers.
4. I have all of the Dell updates, new drivers and service packs.
5. I tried deleting the USB stack and rebuilding in on restart.
Any ideas? I just want to avoid having to re-install XP...
I am really approaching the end of my rope on this issue, and could really use some input here .... Many thanks in advance.
Jamie.
